Today I said good bye to the Young Women. I was released as the first counselor in the Young Women, and put in as a Gospel Doctrine teacher. I am actually really excited about that. I am a little weird that way...I like speaking in church, and I am excited to be one of the Gospel Doctrine teachers.
Today's lesson in Young Women was a really good one for me to leave on. It was about learning all you can about the Gospel so that you will be prepared to teach others. It was good for me because:
1) I LOVE THE GOSPEL! I wish everyone would learn (and live) the gospel. It is truly the way to happiness and peace.
2) As a convert, who learned about the gospel from a friend in High School, I know how wonderful it is if you are prepared to teach those who may ask you questions. If you're lucky they just might join the church. So, all in all, a great lesson for the day.
I'm looking forward to about a week from now when there will be something new to do around here...like not having school! Hopefully we will have a great summer. I have plans, plans, plans. Learning and traveling and serving and working....keeping busy with good stuff. Or, we could go with the conventional summer plans of sleeping in, playing hard, and staying up too late playing night games. Either way, I'm glad for the break from the regular routine.
Congrat's on the new calling. It's always so hard to leave Y/W isn't it. We are also looking forward to summer, it's not coming fast enough for me.
