Today is my parent's 45th Wedding Anniversary. I read an article in the paper this week that said that only 45.8 percent of American children at age 17 live in intact married families. Not that I'm living with my parents anymore, but I can only wonder how many "children" my age still have intact married parents.
So, with those downer statistics on the state of marriage, today I am most definitely thankful that for 45 years my mom and dad have worked together and lived and loved and sacrificed...and all those things we must do in order to be one of those intact married families. Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! Thanks for loving each other for ever and ever and one day more!
